The Scholastic Summer Challenge is a program to encourage summer reading. I will provide students with a username and password during their library time that they will use to login to the site. There they can log their reading minutes through the summer, and see how Mission Viejo is doing as a whole. If we read over 1,000,000 minutes, we could find our name in the 2014 Book of World Records!

Students who do not have access to a computer and internet through the summer can keep a paper log, and I will enter their minutes when school resumes in August.
Kids, please read during the summer. The contest runs from May 6 through September 6. The student who logs the most minutes overall will receive a very exciting prize. In addition, the class that has logged the most minutes by May 29 will receive an ice cream party!
Thanks and happy reading!
