Hello Mission Families, the year is in full swing. The students have been rotating between five different specials classes.
In P.E. we have accomplished up to 27 activities. I am pleased to tell you that our gymnasium is getting a face lift with new wall mats!
Fall Fitness Club was a huge success! We had an average of 55 students each day. Spring Fitness Club will start up April 7th. Every Tuesday and Thursday all students are encouraged to join us at 8:15 am. We meet next to the bike racks and are done at 8:40 am. Students then go straight to their class line to start their academic day. Many studies have shown that exercise before brain work is very beneficial. Parents can come too!
Thank you in advance for helping and reminding your students to wear or bring the correct shoes for gym class. Learning to tie shoes in the younger grades is very helpful also.
Our annual Jump Rope for Heart event will be on February 13th. All specials classes on that day will be coming to the gym. Please look for a flyer coming home in early February. A fitness fundraiser is in the works! More info to follow.
