GT Programming At Mission Viejo

We are excited to offer a variety of programming options for GT at Mission Viejo. We pride ourselves on meeting students where they are and strive to provide appropriate curriculum content to match their needs. Currently, we use a push-in model for 3rd-5th grade GT students, where the GT teacher and the classroom teacher co-teach language arts and math lessons in the students' homerooms. Regarding primary grades, K-2, classroom teachers and the GT teacher collaborate together to provide challenging curriculum for gifted and advanced learners.

Enrichment Opportunities at Mission Viejo

We offer several opportunities for GT enrichment at Mission Viejo. Among those opportunities, we have Chess Club, Destination Imagination, the Rich Morrow Math Challenge Team, Battle of the Books, the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) Block-Kids Lego Event, Japanese Club, a thriving school garden, and an annual Spelling Bee.
